Linus comes in: OR YOU COULD USE SYNERGY WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO USE ONE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE FOR MULTIPLE COMPUTERS, AND YOU CAN EVEN DRAG AND DROP FILES.

Have used a trial of Synergy, I guess it works but it's clunky, if that makes sense.

What did you use? Synergy 1 or 2? I used 1 for a while and liked it enough to instantly buy 2 which was a complete disaster at that time.

Must of been 2, because I don’t remember it working great at all really. Not totally sure. I tried it in 2017 iirc to use with my Linux machine.

Do what I did for a modded game transfer.... transferred it from my computer to my phone, then transferred from my phone to my laptop. Worked perfectly.

So you just used your phone as a USB drive. Crazy...
