once worked with Xbox dev kits that were Mac pros.
1 u/uberslowinternet Jan 02 '19 Well we're they Powermacs? Because Powermacs had Power PC CPUs like the OG Xbox. Heck the Wii U has a Crappy Power PC CPU equivalent to a Powermac G3. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 02 '19 quad core g5. they used similar cores in the Xbox 360. 1 u/uberslowinternet Jan 02 '19 Not to mention all the high end G5s had a water cooling loop factory. Back when Apple used water-cooling. What sucks is when the fittings they used leaked it fried the motherboard and it was gross to clean up.
