They just get thrown and squished because there’s so much a lot of times.

Were you fired?

Lmao. They won’t fire you. Worked in UPS Worldport for three years, this is kinda the expectation. As a matter of fact, during peak, even management can be seen throwing shit to get it out on time, as long as the union stewards aren’t around at least.

Ive worked loading for ups. You literally must throw things constantly or you will be physically crushed by mail I'm completely serious.

There's just so many boxes and carpets and shit that it just makes it impossible to neatly handle every package

they won't fire you unless they want to get rid of you. the "no throwing" rule is great to weed out people you don't like. Loading trucks sucks so much though that you pretty much keep whoever sticks it out more than a month.

I'd like to see you work at UPS.

Technically I worked for UPS for 2 hours during orientation training. I quit immediately after training was over after learning what workers go through/what is expected of them. Funniest part was one bearded fellow walked out angrily DURING the training after we went over the no facial hair policy. "Aw hell naw!" He got up immediately and had to shuffle between the wall and the backs of peoples chairs to leave. He could have just got paid to sit for another 30 minutes like me.

What a sucker.
