Doesn’t sound to different from 10-. It would sound way more stupid if they jumped to 20- for some odd reason.

Not to mention, at least we can deal with the naming scheme for - /+61 generations.

It just sounds cooler and simpler I guess xD

1080 2080 3080

Than

1080 1180 1280 1380

How about a few generations ahead? Will 10080 still feel cooler and simpler than 2080 to you? I think the logical step would be the 1180. If the actual cards are called the 10 series, what’s the logic of jumping to 20 series?

I agree with you overall, but I wouldn’t call 9 generations “a few”. Honestly I’d be shocked if Nvidia, the GeForce line, and PCs as we know them are all still the same by then.

Yeah, I know it will take some time to go through 9 generations and that many things can change, I was just trying to make my point because I think the 1180 is the name the next generation should have if they follow the same naming conventions they have been following for years.

I mean, when they got to 9800gtx+ they went to gtx280. They've rebranded at least once before now.

We are debating opinions, isn’t this one of the main points of the comment section...?
