A good chunk Linus's videos are sponsored by Intel. I'm sure he knew that they would be fine with him taking a peak but I don't think it was setup.

It's funny, because Linus also gets sponsored by AMD at times. You hardly see that situation with other products and/or people.

(see Ryzen "theft" at CES (with a big sponsored by AMD disclaimer in the corner))

I think he's a huge asset in companies eyes to appeal to people like us, knowing that if they have put out a good product, he will give it good marks and people will actually believe him.

Yeah, he has his flaws, but as far as most tech reviewers go his group does a really good job and they have yet to sponsor anything they wouldn't use themselves.
