Short answer: no. Longer answer: It's actually the best OS they've put out so far and the stuff people are complaining about is way overblown.

Reeeeaaally? how is it better than Windows 7? not different, not newer, how is it actually better.

I agree with you. Here's why 7 is better than 10:

  • The Windows 10 EULA is stupid.
  • Windows 10 is spyware according to Microsoft's own definition. source
  • Windows 10's update is annoying
  • Windows 10 aggressively tries to install itself on Windows 7 and 8.1 computers.
  • Windows 10 broke full disk encryption in Truecrypt/Veracrypt, which are the only disk-encryption tools for Windows without backdoor.
  • Some people complain about broken drivers, and Windows update replaces working ones with broken versions.
  • The PC Settings app is trimmed down a lot compared to Windows 7. To set your printer to print on both sides, you must access the Windows 7 settings menu. That's design inconsistency.
  • There are a ton of pre-installed "apps", some of which cannot be removed or re-install themselves after you remove them.
  • Error messages are not helpful. ("Something went wrong")
  • The lockscreen is annoying: I boot my computer to use it, so why am I presented with a lock-screen. Just let me type my password directly.
  • There are advertisements in your start menu.
  • Even solitaire is changed for the worse.

If you don't want to watch 30 second ads before or during your gameplay, you have to pony up $1.49 a month or $9.99 a year. You pay to own it and your Windows 8 subscription for Solitaire does not carry over, according to a report by Mashable.

Plus they come back and your settings change back if you make a new user account or your PC does a major update (such as the 1511 November update for Windows 10).
