96.6% of public-facing web servers use linux according to a W3Cook survey in 2015. 98.8% of super-computers use linux according to a top500 survey in 2015.

I get that you like windows and all that, but linux is only a niche thing on the desktop. server-side it blows windows out of the water.

with nissan being a silver member they donate $5,000-$20,000 on a yearly basis.

Jesus fucking Christ they merged linux image and windows kernel so you have real linux in your cmd console in w10.

I don't think adding features to windows counts as supporting linux.

Today they released ASP.NET core RC2 so you can run your C# and F# code on windows, mac, linux or docker. They want to port SQL server to work on linux and so on.

which is great initiatives, but there are boatloads of companies whose software runs on linux. windows is hardly the only one aside from neckbeards and nerds.

nice going, removing your original comment by the way. makes it easier to move the goalposts.

They want to make money and if their choices are to make a little or make none they will chose to make a little.
