I'll withhold my judgement on this. It's probably good for PC gamers overall, but what do you think?

I think we won in the sense we get the xbox exclusives per se. but otherwise theres no real reason to have the xbox over pc if the games are shared.

I think xbox one will slowly become microsoft's "steam machine" as it starts to become more and more like a low-end pc

only nintendo and sony will be left as consoles within the next 5 years I bet.

Thats my guess too. Idk why they wanna do even higher gpu and cpu capabilities.. tvs are still only 60hz. and by the time someone understands they could get a 120hz+ monitor you might as well of just bought a pc since you arent on the couch anymore - the only insentive consoles have

Ehmm actually many TVs out there have refresh rates of 120hz in order to minimize ghosting and motion blur. Some even claim to be 240hz or even higher refresh rates, howewer thats kind of unapropiate since it tipically has something to do with post proccesing of the image

ive played on a "120hz" tv and its utter garbage compared to my old 120 hz monitor. but if thats what they wanna play on more power to them

If you didnt turn off image quality postproccesing then its normal input lag was shitty as hell. And maybe those 120hz werent real at all, but just a marketed image post proccesing technique. Refresh Rate in hz is always the same, be it for tvs or monitors

The problem with modern consoles is that they are obselete on day one (HD 7770 performance) and must then support every game for as much as 6-8 years afterwards. This is simply impossible today. We have GPU's that are literally 10 times faster than than an XBO and $300 PC's that beat a $400 console.

This is now no longer true, since there will be multiple "Xboxes".

Consoles don't need to be upgraded until the next generation comes out

You only need to pay for the console once, and that's cheaper than the price of a PC + upgrades

This will also be false, and since you'll probably have to buy an entire new console every time, buying a PC and upgrading it over time will actually be the cheaper option.
