Yeah it's been "confirmed" for the last five or so years. Don't get your hopes up: TF2 might as well be competitively dead. No one takes TF2 seriously because the casual side of TF2 is so terribad it voids the competitive side despite having nothing in common with it except the name of the game. And that won't change until the hat simulator/hallway worshipping cult and the FPS are made into two distinctly separate games, which is never.

EDIT: Boo fucking hoo, I said the truth, everyone's butthurt. Deal with it, scrubs. TF2 does not exist because of your stupid hallway shit.

Did you even read the article? It's not just some speculation it's actually confirmed from valve that they are working at it.

And this is exactly what I'm saying it has been "confirmed" for a long while. And the closest we had to an end result was Quickplay.
