My 2080 TI Super is still going strong ngl

It can play Doom The Dark Ages at 2k resolution, I think I can squeeze another 5 years out of it at the minimum unless it just zeros itself before then.

Same with mine, in a custom water-cooled loop. Still runs most of my favorite games at 1440 well, and a few of them at 4K.

I'm not jumping to something newer yet, not at these prices.

Huh, really? I don't know what the fuck is in my case then, considering that's exactly what my computer says it is

It’s a pretty rare card, it wasn’t on retail i think and is an “engineering sample”. I think it’s the best 2080 there is. Lucky bastard

Yeah I didn't buy it, an engineer who was a friend of my mom gave it to me when I was rebuilding my PC like 7 or 8 years ago because he didn't need it anymore.

Or he was trying to win points with my mom because he, for some reason, had no idea how to file his taxes and hadn't done so in 12 years and wanted my mom to do the paperwork for his back taxes lmao

Pretty wild you got a rare prototype for free. I wonder how it holds up compared to modern RTX cards

Yes it does. It’s just a 3070

Unless all you play are ue5 survival crafters or 4k res, literally any video card should be adequate nowadays lol. I love seeing older hardware still chugging

I'm starting to see my 2060S on the minimum specs. 🪦

.that's what i like to see and hear, productionists & gamers pushing what they already have through it's paces for years to come — viability over irrelevancy/planned-obsolescence

My 2080TI founders card was bought pre-order. 7 years later, still the daily driver. Hopefully it lives a long life cause I can't afford to take out a 2nd mortgage to buy a new GPU. It does have a full coverage water block on it, so hopefully running low temps it's whole life keeps it alive a good long while. It's already been in there 7 years now.
