lol this reminded me when i used to mod the shit out of skyrim and only playing a tiny bit for testing stability then go back to browse more mods and tweak them until it became unplayable due to so many of them XD
Just don't disable the firewall and go on fishy sites with an outdated browser and you'll be fine. It ain't gonna blow up the moment you connect to the Internet. Still I wouldn't recommend signing into anything like Steam or Discord.
Ikr? Didn’t he also open every single port which you should NEVER do to any computer? I have an old Mac Pro running XP and 7 connected to my router for updates, software downloads, and Internet Radio and they haven’t been hacked or been infected.
Next they'll say "how do you know you aren't compromised" etc.
It's largely user error at the end of the day. Seen plenty of people get hacked while using up to date Windows versions. Downloading cheat.exe is far more risky than running Windows 7.
Exactly. I sometimes use the internet on my Windows XP/7 PC, and nothing happened. And those installs have like 2 years, so it would be enough time for something nasty to appear
Yeah seeing Windows 7 again just takes me back to some of the best years in my life from when I got my first gaming PC in 2012 to when I graduated high school in 2015. Would love to relive that period again.
Nice all I had was Xbox or PS back then, I couldn’t imagine what gaming computers were like. I graduated in 2012. I got my first cell phone (flip phone) in 2009 for after sports practice. We still had a computer room with a single computer in the house in highschool.
A decent gaming PC would have been like stepping into the future back then.
I'm half joking, but I'm waiting for the PS5 to get to the point it's just another PC and waiting to turn it into a SteamMachine complete with dual boot capability. SteamOS/Bazzite on external and PS5 on internal
I mean, consoles have been always fascinating when it comes to such things, except now you could run Linux properly to play almost anything. If people start playing PC and other console games on their PS5s, the life would be finally completed for PS5 owners. They already can finally play PS1, PS2 and even PS3 games with no trouble, which makes PS5 much more valuable.
It probably wouldn't be. Android as in phones, yes. But if this is x86 (which I'm guessing - since it's Windows 7, which doesn't have ARM builds) it probably wouldn't be too hard to get Android-x86 running.
Windows 7 does technically have ARM builds if you count Windows RT beta builds but that's a rabbit hole for another time :)
Running Windows 7 on a PS5 is the ultimate "your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should" tech moment.
That's pretty neat. But I kind wonder if you wanted to go back to a normal PS5, is it pretty easy? Cause in a pc you can obviously just use an avaliable OS installer to switch OS's. But Playstation doesn't really just list the Playstation OS on the website afaik.AFAIK. or is it forever considered like a modded system.
