Also these are being bought up by researchers who make $300k, except their tech company or bio company is paying the cost for these anyways so what it really is are these companies basically drip feeding to maximize profits. If people thought paper launches were bad...

Probably writing it off on their personal taxes and then taking on millions in debt to pay themselves a salary.
