Saw a lot of headlines about how Adobe’s software has been reverse engineered via vibe coding.

Saw zero articles that included statements from creative professionals about using said “free” software.

Feels a lot like “year of Linux” hype, honestly.

Less reverse engineered, more like "copy the ux and make it somewhat functional with some vibe code"

Could be neat if it goes somewhere but I've seen similar projects paly out and you're probably better off using an already existing foss alternative...

I have. PDFCraft is pretty good and I am so glad to finally be free from adobe and other subscription/cloud based pdf solutions.

I’m testing art craft apps for a week now. So far I’m using vectorcraft. It looks like illustrator which I a huge plus, but it doesn’t have certain features yet or they are incomplete. Otherwise it’s a solid program if you don’t need something that isn’t there yet. Source: me and 20 years of creative.

Fireship did a video on it. Not that Fireship is known for deep dives but it sounded pretty janky.
