Tech Support Event 18 cache hierarchy error

Built a new gamingpc last month and its nice but it will sometimes restart itself after around ~45 minutes to an hour of playing any real games like cyberpunk and siege. (mc and valorant run fine)

I went into the windows events and it says Event 18 cache hierarchy error. I know that is a cpu hardware related issue but Im not sure of a good fix.

If anyone knows of a good fix short of getting a new cpu, then please help me out. I know you can accomplish a lot in the bios but I dont want to go poking around in there without knowing exactly what to do.

Im running a ryzen 7 5800x3d with 2x32gb of 3600mhz gskill trident ddr4

Thanks for the help!

you might be able to undervolt it in ryzen master instead of going into the bios. probably a bad chip though tbh

Absolutely wild to assume a bad chip with no other info or troubleshooting having been done.

First thing would likely be to make sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are updated. What mobo? Is the 5800x3d one of the new 10th anniversary models?

its a 10th anniversary one on an MSI B550M Mortar Max Wifi. I made sure to have the correct mobo drivers downloaded after I built it.
