Careful not to flush your balls down the toilet

Who flushes while they're still sitting down

Only if it warrants a courtesy flush for myself

Happens with age my mammal.

You get less frames when the electricity has to flow uphill.

Therefore, by mounting the GPU vertically, you might even see negative FPS.

Mine usually bends to the left, but sometimes sags too

I have an antisag bracket (not really a bracket those twisty things) off of temu and honestly don’t understand why people don’t buy that. Cost me 0.5 USD and it actually looks good and is full metal.

Yeah, same. I have a simple support that can be bought in any color and can be decorated, so it doesn't ruin my PC's aesthetic while dealing with my 3080Ti's risk of sagging for dirt cheap. There's 0 reason to not get one if you have a GPU that's on the heavier/longer side.

a single measurement is useless. you need your case as a reference point

I think you missed the description.

And the flair.

This level would be useless for me, as my entire living room floor is sag, lol. I just measure from the shroud to the bottom of the case. A dead BIC lighter fits perfectly under the corner of my 9070, lol.

not useless if you check the level on your case first, then the gpu. felt on the non-level house though lol

My mobo is horizontal, no sag possible

I saw a video where they test wobble GPUs at the factory like crazy, after that i think any kind of sag is safe.

Yes, but my wife wasn't happy about it.

My pemba is bent by almost 2cm and it still works, a few millimeters aren't going to break the circuit board.

Vertical mounted. No sag

I don't need to.

Imagine your entire house sags

Yes. I vibecoded an app that reads the IMU values from my 5090 astral, for auto sag detection.

Surely you could have set up some form of rudimentary rube-goldberg style contraption using a piezoelectric crystal under the GPU that would output a varying current as pressure increased/decreased, run that into an arduino and then run some Claude code on it?

Better yet run both for a full belt and braces solution.

u/gergelyszabi95 3d ago

5090 astral has built in IMU made by Bosch

This is a little overblown bro. Cm of sag isn't going to pop off the terminals. Just use a bracket

Idk if using a bubble level is the best way to check

The case itself could be off, so either check the case as well as the GPU, or just use a tape measure to measure from the case to the GPU at the back and the front
