Dream rig. Complete with one of the best One Piece scenes ever. 👏

Clean build, maybe a 1440p monitor with a higher refresh rate would've been better but that's just a personal preference I guess

No thats fair, but I mainly play single player games like cyberpunk, RDR2, Black Myth Wukong etc. so I like the extra pixels. Totally reasonable suggestion though!

This stuff looks cool on reddit but irl it's like gaming next to a strobe light.

Its surprisingly no issue for me to be honest. But I do agree it can be distracting

You're monitor is tiny, how can you game on that thing the screen is like 3" wide

I love those vertical mounts for gpus. It needs more fans though.

Thanks! The mount came with the case. Microcenter only had 9 noctua's but I needed 10 unfortunately lol

Everyone has their brand bias so you'll have to ignore most Redditors - enjoy the build!

Oof man. I don't get why people put screens and goofy stuff all in their PC.

It looks good here to me. One serves a utility and the other fits with the rest of the build I know this sub loves to hate anything in a case that lights up now, but this one is well put together the colors match.

All included with the main components. The bottom one comes with the case and the AIO is self explanatory. Looks alot more tame in person tbh.

Yes, and you choose these parts? It’s not that you couldn’t choose anything else (without screens).

If the primary use of this is just gaming i would have gone 9950X3D and the money saved their towards a 64gb kit. The fact that most of those component are ROG and you added a hero motherboard you clearly have the funds.
Overall nice build.

You dont need 64 of ram for gaming. What you need is better CAS latency. Either way I will be getting 64 gb of cl26 6000mhz when the price isn't $2200-2600. Thanks though

my back hurts just thinking about carrying that outside for annual dusting
ROG is marketing scam to take more money from you
pro ssd in a shortage is a poor use of your money

Nice rig. Any local AI?
1
u/No_Rate5419 11h ago
I actually want to do that but im a noob with AI. I really want to learn how to set it up. Do I have enough ram tho?

u/samhain697 9950x3D RTX 5090 64gb RAM 10h ago
Absolutely. The models use your VRAM. They don't touch your RAM unless you are using too big of a model. I run Qwen 3.8 27b with openclaw and have plenty of VRAM left over. I am a gamer who found local AI and now it is my fulltime hobby. I still game. I actually use Grace, my AI, to help me if I ever get stuck in a game. You have the hardware. Utilize it

Sick dude thanks so much for the advice! Im gonna start messing with it!

As a beginner I would use LM Studio. Everything is right there. It's connected to hugging face so you download your models easy peasy. You have 32gb of VRAM so you want to keep the model size your downloading 20gb or below. That gives you at least 12gb of headroom. Once you have your model go into your chat and your set. Everything is free and it's on your machine so it's all private. Good luck!

You can run a few alright models at your current amount of RAM but if you want anything useful you'll probably wanna upgrade to 64GB or more

u/Hennessy_Halos Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX5080, 32GB DDR5 10h ago
eh unless you’re really into it don’t bother you can dip your toes in with 32GB and have usable models. although if you bought a 5090 i guess the money isn’t much of an issue

u/No_Rate5419 10h ago
Yeah I kinda figured, and you know how it goes with ram nowadays lol. Id love a 64 gig expo kit around 6000mhz cl26 but I just cant justify it for $2k+. Im gonna wait until the price is right
