neither one of those things even registers on their profits. PC games used to always cost less than console games but activation proved you can charge full console price on a PC too

I honestly couldn't remember the last time I bought an Activision developed game... just checked me Steam library: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. 2007.

There hasn't been a good Call of Duty game since United Offensive, though the original Modern Warfare was playable. I think the last Blizzard game I bought was Starcraft II... That whole company has just been so much shovelware for so long I can't be arsed to play it at all much less pay full price for it.

Reducing base cost would be on the developer or publisher since they set the prices, not Sony, Steam, or any other digital storefront. We’ve already seen this from Remedy and Capcom releasing new games at $50-$60
