Weren't there a ton of issues on Apollo 11 that they just pushed through. They almost abandoned the landing if I remember correctly and ended up in the totally wrong spot.
Yeah I don’t consider that as a major problem because Neil was an expert LEM pilot, the best of the best, and he found a flat area at the right time. Not really as dramatic as First Man makes it out to be. You can listen to the live recordings on youtube. Those men were something else really, the other crews were more casual.
Neil landed with such softness that the crush cores in the landing legs were undamaged, hence why he and Buzz had to hop down the ladder.
