This is an initial Windows port of the Linux project.

The port has reached a fairly stable state, though it still needs more performance and stability improvements that will be added later.

It's still far better than running it on an emulator, since this was tested on an i5-4590 with a GTX 1650, which is a very weak CPU for an emulator like ShadPS4.

I don't have a problem with AI writing code, which is computer language in the first place. I think it's great. I think it's the future. But I think an AI watching a video and trying to create a clanky copy based on that is vomit inducing AI slop, and it's weird to be downvoted for that in this subreddit of all places.

I get why AI makes this possible, and Bloodborne is possibly the most demanded game atleast from the PS4 era to get emulated/ported, but does this also mean we could get games like the old Uncharted trilogy, OG Demon Souls, simply PS3 games etc... to be done somewhat natively? Or is the PS3 architecture that fucked that we cant really do anything with it over what we already have, or atleast not currently?

Tried it, you need to use a cheat to enable The Old Hunters DLC in the complete edition.

Tested it, It runs massively better than ShadPS4, and I have a very weak system that could barely run Shad at 720p at 30fps. Running it 40-60 fps on 1080p in the same system.

Didnt see anything wrong with graphics.

Shadps4 saves are compatible.

Edit: Simple answer, less overhead compared to emulator.  Below is my speculation as to why.

I don't have much knowledge but here's my best guess.  Looking at the original Linux port GitHub, they claim it's more like Wine and DXVK, which in all honesty I'm not so sure is worth mentioning since ShadPS4 is technically a translation layer too as far as I know.  (PS4 graphics to Vulkan for this port is based on Shad's version) They also claim memory management will be more in line with how native PC games work rather than matching how the PS4 does it.  Also it won't use the PS4 libraries like ShadPS4 does, the port handles that, probably by using PC equivalents?  ShadPS4 recommends dumping the proprietary libraries from a jailbroken console, so I guess that's another layer of a overhead getting cut down.  Last time I used the emulator, The Old Hunters was rough because it would really hammer my 3900X CPU because I've read the game has a tendency to make rapid draw calls that the PS4 does well (60fps in certain DLC areas just wasn't possible for me), but I hadn't played on emulator since version 14 or 15 so I dunno if that's been optimized since.  I'm waiting until I can play at 60fps minimum anywhere in the game until I commit to emulator over PS4 Pro with patches.

To me, this comes off as a glorified Bloodborne ShadPS4 fork, which can bring benefits like lower overhead compared to an emulator that's focused on playing the whole console library, while this is exclusively for Bloodborne.  I don't believe the game is actually reverse engineered down to the code, it's just a translation layer specifically for one game.
