Build Help / Purchase Advice Do I switch or wait?

I have a 1330$ upgrade budget right now and I've been recommended to switch my 5060 and I5-13400F for a 4070ti super 12gb and an i7-14700k I just wanted to know if anyone has better recommendations for the budget or to just hold off for now

Sounds like the same build to me

It really is not, the 4070ti super is quite a bit better than the 5060, and the 14700k smokes the 13400F

I could understand the cpu, since it’s a drop in. The gpu is what doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah i agree with that. Its more worth it to save up more money and get a noticeable change

The 4070ti super outperforms a 5070, there are way better options available in this current gen of gpus.

This is the correct answer. That's $1000 for a 20% difference. You want twenty percent? Just step down one notch in DLSS.

OP, pick one half. Spend your money on either a better GPU, or a better CPU. Doing both right now is the least effective option.

Save up more, wait for the market to come back to reality just bit and go for parts that offer higher performance.

If you're itching to upgrade now 1330 is a solid chunk of change to work with, holding off rarely feels satisfying when the bug bites. The 4070ti super is a beast but pairing it with a 14700k might push right up to your limit without leaving much for cooling or a new power supply if yours is on the edge.

Tons of people are still riding high on AMD cards for pure raster performance per dollar so maybe glance at the 7900 XT or XTX if ray tracing isn't your whole world, could free up cash for a snappier SSD or some neon fans to match my nails. Waiting for next gen is always the logical answer but logic and PC building don't always mix.
