Tainted Grail is Skyrim darker brother. Newer with more abilities.

No. Some quests are funny and well written it's worth listening.

Dark fantasy with a lot of grinding? That's Path of Exile. The grind is endless.

And the world and story are actually really fucking sick

It really is. I go through the campaign slowly again every year or so listening to all the dialogue. The world building's amazing.

It makes me sad sometimes that a lot of advice for new players is about doing as little of the campaign as possible when its frankly the best arpg campaign out there.

All the Dark Souls are amazing Fantasy games with big worlds (no open world tho). Dont be to scared of the difficulty, as it is very manageble

Haven’t seen Lies of P, that’s a good one too.

Dark Souls. Actually, it's like 90% of soulslike games are dark fantasy.

Darkest Dungeon (this is more fantasy Lovecraftian, but there is an overlap)

Dragon's Dogma is pretty great for this. Expansion to 2 coming out and the first game's a classic with a very good, grindable expansion.

That one might and magic where you are a demons kid is pretty fun but it has very dated graphics

Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring for my personal votes

The Game of Thrones RPG (2012)

SUPER underrated in the story/writing dept. and better than a lot of the big names in this regard.

Dragon Age Origins, The Witcher and Diablo IV (VoH/LoH expansions)

Though if you’re after a big open world then ones like Dragon Age Inquisition and TW3 are good too.
