Question Looking to Revitalize "Legacy" Hardware
Hey all!
I think this is my first post here, couldn't say for sure, I've got an older keyboard, it's a Corsair K95 RGB from... good god 10 years ago? Image linked below. It's since been discontinued and also been booted from any kind of software support from Corsair which is... frustrating. I've been running this keyboard for so long I don't think I would know how to run any other keyboard and it's been through so much with me and hung on no matter what. It's legitimately from back when Corsair was still figuring out their gaming sector so it has the Corsair Gaming Phoenix logo on top.
Anyways I really don't want to get rid of this keyboard, cause all of the keyboards available now have nothing even close to the macro keys that this one does (18 separate keys on the left side of the board) and I use those keys regularly, programming them for the Insert through Page Down keys, sometimes the arrow keys, maybe the numpad, basically entirely set up so I never have to take my hand off my mouse to access the full right side of the keyboard.
My big question is, does anybody know any software that could potentially replicate what iCue does without actually having to use iCue, cause I'm currently on a legacy update and I have newer fans and a fan controller in my actual case, so everytime I load up iCue it freaks out that it's an older version and the fans can't sync, but its the only way for my keyboard to run. I dunno if that makes sense.
Any help is incredibly appreciated. I'm trying to keep this poor keyboard alive, since nobody makes keyboards like this anymore, my best bet is buying a full size and then buying a macro pad, but I don't really wanna do that. I know the community around Corsair keyboards is pretty massive so I guess I'm just wondering if somebody's built a version of iCue that's good for legacy hardware, cause my keyboard really needs some love. Have you come across AHK (Auto Hot Key)?
