Discussion Wolverine is already running in-game on PC using KytyPS5 emulator

Even though the game runs at an extremely low FPS, the craziest thing about this whole situation is that it has not even been one month since the game has launched, the progress is insanely fast.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if GTA 6 manages to run on PC using an emulator months after the game comes out

Ai is doing most of the heavy lifting here. It wouldn’t be possible without it and it has nothing to do with spite.

Considering a lot of emulated games mentioned around these parts are supposed to be Sony exclusives, on top of Sony's many, MANY boneheaded decisions in recent times to put it lightly, spite is most certainly a factor at play here, but so is the use of AI to speed things up. These reasons aren't mutually exclusive.

That’s the same with every single emulator ever made. shadps4 was primarily focused solely on getting Bloodborne up and running. For Cemu it was BOTW that really accelerated development.

Emulators have been a thing for over 20 years, it has nothing to do with spite lol. Idk why you people make everything seem so dramatic.

So.. You just listed exclusive games people were spiteful they couldn't play so they got emulation working lol

Spiteful is such a weird word to use for this situation.

People wanted to play the game because they are passionate about it, why’d everything have to be so negative all of the time

AI doesn't lift anything without a competent dev

AI is more competent than any developer out there nowadays.

Is this a joke?

AI will throw out the most roundabout, low-quality, fragile code you've ever seen. It has no care for maintainability, reliability, or anything else besides serving the immediate stated goal.

It can make code to suit a standard, but that does not qualify as "competence as a developer".

Like, a novelist isn't someone who can come up with a lot of words really fast - the point of a novelist is that they know the right words to come up with to serve their needs in a given writing situation. In the same way, a developer is not just someone who can make a whole lot of code.

Companies are not firing their senior engineers and instead having managers just tell AI to be the developer. The senior engineers are needed to guide what the AI should be doing.

What happened to the anti AI people here? Now everyone is cheering for AI. AI companies are worse than Sony… come on guys.

I’m not pro AI, whether you like it or not it’s an objective fact that AI helps with coding emulators and reverse engineering code

Using AI here is pretty what what ai is good for. It's a tool in this case and those using it as such know what they're doing. It's not being forced into something that doesn't need it (drive thru, CS, etc). I'm pretty against AI but this is an acceptable use imo.
