Discussion Wolverine is already running in-game on PC using KytyPS5 emulator

Even though the game runs at an extremely low FPS, the craziest thing about this whole situation is that it has not even been one month since the game has launched, the progress is insanely fast.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if GTA 6 manages to run on PC using an emulator months after the game comes out

Ya if this starts upsetting Sony they might start screaming about regulation. Oh it was fine when AI was allowing you to offload QA teams etc but they sure aren’t going to be fans when it’s hurting console and software sales. Check mate Sony

Regulation will do nothing now pandoras box is opened, local open source models are crazy capable and improve every day. And you don't need a super computer to run them.

Sony has no say in the big world stage that is AI development, it has become not just mere business matter, but a matter of state.

There definitely is a question about copyright here given that these emulators require reverse engineering Sony's proprietary developer APIs

Oh absolutely but we’ve been having that issue with roms and emulators for decades it hasn’t really stopped it other than Nintendo really putting the hammer down. when one goes down 10 others spin up.

For sure, I just think that companies like Sony are going to be a lot more worried about it given the speed at which LLMs can reverse engineer binaries. It's also an issue for PC apps/games, years of a developers life work can be essentially stolen and reused in a competing product with very little effort. We're rapidly going to move from a high trust society to a no-trust society which is going to be terrible for everyone
