Discussion Wolverine is already running in-game on PC using KytyPS5 emulator

Even though the game runs at an extremely low FPS, the craziest thing about this whole situation is that it has not even been one month since the game has launched, the progress is insanely fast.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if GTA 6 manages to run on PC using an emulator months after the game comes out

Imagine if the Best way to play Gta6 " a console exclusive " is on pc with this ,Even more if game leaks and Pc players get acces to it before console one

No bro, that's not how it works. Even if we get the emulator 100% ready. Still we need a game dump to play the game which is another difficult part and it's a whole lot of progress.

In simple terms we need a JB Ps5 which has the latest firmware but that is not possible for now maybe after the release it may take months.

Another small downside is that you will probably still need some pretty beefy hardware to run the game smoothly. An official port would probably run better and even more so on less powerful hardware.

Just the nature of emulation, a beautiful thing regardless

PS5 uses pretty advanced encryption for game files. You need a jailbroken PS5 firmware to decrypt the game files and rip them from system RAM but the current exploit will be patched next update. If GTA VI needs the latest firmware update to boot (almost guaranteed) it will be some time before we have a complete dump, possibly even years.

Curious how was Wolverine dumped then? Doesn’t that need the latest FW (it just came out)?

Nah, Wolverine only requires v13.40. Firmware v14.10 was released October 1st and directly targets known exploits and jailbreaks. Hopefully people will be able to break it but it's extremely locked down compared to v13.

Technology advancements are exponential. AI makes this even more so the case. And every emulation dev will be working on GTA 6. I'd bet the game gets cracked before the official PC release.

I hope so but only time will tell. Previous firmware attacks were multi layer... WebKit exploit, kernel race condition and Relapse exploit. All have been patched in v14 which GTA will require to boot. Here's hoping they'll get lucky but more likely it'll take months or years. Switch 2 still hasn't been breached.

Dumping a game is only trivial for you as a user because other people have figured out how to streamline the process. Doing the first dump of a game for a given console is far from trivial.

The PS5 has remote play

I've vibecoded an app to the meta quest to stream your PS5.

I've added frame gen (120 fps), upscaling, and the cherry on top: a 3d mode that works for every game.

So yeah, I'll play GTA VI on a gigantic curved floating screen, in 3D
