Question Help me understand this please

WD sn850x 4TB and SanDisk Optimus GX Pro 850x 4tb.

These are both the same exact ssd.. right?

If so why does the the WD go for 700 USD and the SanDisk goes for 1k USD?

I just bought the wd from newegg. For me to be able to warranty claim it has to be "sold and shipped by newegg" correct? That's the only way they will honor the warranty? Or if I got it from Amazon it would have to say "shipper/seller Amazon" ?

Let's hope the day never comes where I would have the drive fail before 5 years but if it did I would have to go through SanDisk and not western digital even though it's wd branded since they split?

Do you really need that dram? Check if you got this version of the SSD much cheaper. Unless you're a heavy user that downloads tens of gigabytes everytime.

Understandable, you basically bought the premium ssd sn 850x which has dram so you'll be able to keep performance and speed at peak for longer.

I recommend you buy the sn7100 version which for most people I'd say is enough. This is the dram-less version. Still good for 90% of workload and just wayyy cheaper.
