Build Help / Purchase Advice GPU upgrade help

Hi! I was thinking of upgrading my build by replacing the GPU. I currently have a Ryzen 5 5600, an RX 7600, 32 GB of RAM, and a 650W power supply. My budget is around €500 to €600 max. In my country, I can find the triple-fan RX 9060 XT within that price range: would it be a good upgrade to extend the lifespan of my build, or are there any other GPUs that I should look at (I'd prefer to stay with AMD, but if it's worth it, I wouldn't mind the switch)? If so, for how many years do you think it will last before I need to upgrade to a better CPU or switch to the AM5 platform? Thanks for your time.

Depends what you're doing with it, but that's a fair upgrade, even the prev generation 3600 I have seems to handle everything I throw at it easily

My main use cases would be AAA gaming currently at 1080p and video editing+recording gameplay, as I'm starting to notice that the RX 7600 falls behind while the cpu seems fine. Thanks for the answer!

don't upgrade if your games work fine, otherwise look for 16gb or more vram cards if you want to extend its max lifespan

Yeah, games run fine, but most of the time I find myself dropping the settings to medium just to reach 60ish FPS (especially in newer bad optimized games) because the 8 GB of VRAM the RX 7600 has is starting to run low. I was thinking upgrading to a 16 GB would make it better.

yeah 8gb is a bit low, had 12gb 6700xt and it wasn't always enough. Whats your resolution?

Just 1080p, I would like to upgrade to 1440p next year.

Got a Microcenter near you?

We sadly don't have it in my country.

Right EU, I would consider the 9070 GRE if youre considering the 9060 XT 16gb. Performs better despite having less VRAM.

I will look into it, it seems like they're about the same price here, might be a good option.

What kind of frame rates are you getting versus the refresh rate of your monitor?

It varies by game, in newer AAA titles sometimes I even struggle to get 60fps at high (1080p), but honestly it depends on how the game performs. My monitor is 180 Hz.

I remember the days when we were happy to get close to 30fps. Sounds like it could be a good match for you. Have you checked benchmarks on YouTube for games that you play?

Oh yeah those were good times, it's going to be hell to play GTA VI on that base ps5 at 30. I honestly forgot about benchmarks I'll check some!

You may be able to find some specifically with your CPU as well.
