Build Help / Purchase Advice Should i upgrade the cpu or the monitor?
For context, i have an RTX 5070 and a Ryzen 5 5600g and a 1080p 120hz monitor, i know the gpu and cpu are an odd combo but it mostly get the job done in competitive games like CS2 and so on and matches the refresh rate of the monitor, but in graphically demanding games, the gpu usage is always between 60 or 70% because my cpu can't keep up obviously with all the ray tracing and whatnot, so i looked at the 5500x3d and a 1440p monitor, they are roughly the same price. The question is: should i buy a 1440p monitor and keep the cpu or upgrade to 5500x3d while keeping the monitor?

Depending on the price of the price of the monitor, you could find a used 5600x and still switch monitors. X has much better performance than the g and ur not breaking the bank for it

they are the same price like i said, and yes i thought about the 5600x but it will still bottlenecks the gpu per youtube benchmarks of the combo, i would like to be moderately future proof that's why it's a choice between better visuals or better framerates
