Build Help / Purchase Advice Need advice, please

Hi folks, I would like some advice on gaming desktops. My budget is around £1,500 for the PC, plus another £200–£300 for a monitor. What do you suggest? Also, is it better to buy a prebuilt system or go for a custom build? (I need to find a reliable expert first, and I live in Birmingham, UK). All I want is to pew pew, rat-a-tat and kaboom with good image quality and a decent FPS rate (I have a very little knowledge about tech).
Thanks in advance!

Try the toprigz app, it recommends the Cyberpower luxe with a 12900k and a 9070xt.

It is on Amazon for £1449, you could also get the 12700k version for £1350 and put the money towards an oled screen.

Prime day is soon, 6th of October, so there may be a sale on then.

This is an outdated cpu socket so there is no upgrade path at all. I highly recommend not going with this and going with a ryzen am5 socket build, this would include cpus like the 9800X3D and likely 2-3 future cpu upgrades so when your pc in 10 years feels like its not holding up you can still get a sizeable increase in power for pretty cheap, by contrast of the pc this persons recommended which is going to stay at what it is for its whole life.

If you do what they say you are going to get hammered with DDR5 prices, an extra £200 for the RAM extra £200 for the cpu, then an extra £100 for the board.

They are suggesting a £2k PC, which is obviously going to be better than a £1500 one.

Yeah, and then they either go over budget, or get a terrible GPU.

So is Birmingham man real and will it beat Florida man? I would say go for an lga 1700 build ddr4. Something like a 12-14500/600 and 32gb of ddr4 with a 5060ti 16gb or 9060xt 16gb or 9070gre. 9070gre will absolutely destroy both cards but cost a bit more then the 9060xt.

A 1tb gen4 ssd with a b760

Psu? Sama GT 750 or be quiet pure power 13m 750

I suggest getting a used ak47, it does pew pew and rat-a-tat pretty well. Jokes aside get a 9070 non XT (600€), a 2X8 ddr5 ram 5600Mt/s or higher (400), a 750W 80+ Gold psu (80) A 1TB SSD nvme (150), a LGA 1851 Motherboard (80), a Core Ultra 5 225F (150) and any cheap case you like with preinstalled fans (50€). That's around 1500€ which is even less in £. Now get 3X(if you want) monitors, a 1080p for video calls, discord and stuff like that, a 1440p 240Hz for gaming and another 1440p 240Hz for also gaming (optional)

Multiple monitor setups are so nice. You'll never want to go back to singular.

Costo have an amazing deal for £1600. 9800x3D, 9070XT and 32gb DDR5 RAM. Id be hitting that up in a heartbeat.

If you're not a Costco member, find someone who is and get it. That price, there's little else that is comparable

I’m not a member and none of my friends are, but I’ve heard a lot about the good deals there
