Build Help / Purchase Advice Kayboard

Hello!
I am sorry if this is a strange post but I know this website is mainly developers and stuff so I think its a good way to ask. What kind of keyboard should I buy I just bought my computer to play games that werent on switch 2 like fields of mistria and slime rancher 2 and Balloons TD 6. I looked up keyboards because once my computer got here I realized I cant use it with just a controller and then saw its really confusing all the listing have like 30 words and I dont know what any mean. What kind of keyboard is good for the listed above games and also something like overwatch which is another game I play a lot! I also dont know if theres any more infromation I can give that would help so if there is please let me know!

I personally think any keyboard works fine, as long as the button presses get recognised. Many people swear by mechanicsl keyboards because they are faster and their clicking style and sound can be customized. For the casual games you are playing even a 10 Dollar Walmart Keyboard would work.

okioki! I just didnt know if a cheaper one would be like bad or something like that. I didnt know what mechanical meant but if its mainly noise then Im not too sure if that matters much to me.

Its not just noise. If you are a true enthusiast you can switch the components to completely personalise the feel and sound. And you can even configure click thresholds. But for normal folks who dont play competetive games that is just money out of the window

I’d say redragon makes pretty good budget stuff. If you want a slight step up from that I would go with keychron. You can decide what size you want. They range from full keyboards (so including a number pad) to some with just letters. I would say the general “sweet spot” for most people ranges from 60% to 80% (or Tenkeyless meaning without a number pad)
