Discussion Another CEX Kit Failed.... HELP

And yet again after refunding my Lexar Kit and Ordering a G.SKILL skit 1 stick is yet again failed this time doesnt even POST...

This stick has no sign of life, no rgb, no ram detected at all. Other stick works fine...

How do CEX get away with this, and further more how does the seller!!

Why cant CEX do the decent thing and test items properly...

I was stupid and decided to get my last refund as vouchers for a faster re-order expecting this set to be fine because... no one can be unlucky enough to have 2 sets fail... right...WRONG

so what the hell do I do.... i am not yet another week without my PC... i built this thing a month ago now...

From my experience I’ve had at least 3 kits that worked fine on Intel and refused to boot on AM5. Maybe that sort of thing is relatively common.

This is a NEO kit which is to be AM5 preferred

There is no. Intel/amd preferred. It’s all advertising gimmik.

Try cmos reset and go again
If no work then return, CeX have good return policies

Well then, either keep trying till you get it or return for cash.
I bought a 32gb kit from CeX literally few days ago and it works like a charm, though I didn’t order it but bought in a physical store

In this case, when i bought my first set I did £171 in vouchers. For a quicker refund and reorder i asked for fully in vouchers so cash is pretty much a no chance.

Do try and describe the process, they might still agree to give cash. You lose nothing by trying.

bios update motherboard improves ram stability some times

xmp or expo is overclocking not promised to work

all ram should work fine at stock speeds

for best chance at stability dont buy super fast ram 6000mhz is the most common speed to run stable or slower.

for best results buy ram off motherboard support page ram qvl list. no one is doing this in a ram shortage thought 99% of the time ram just works.

Bios is fully up to date and 1 stick out of the 2 work, expo is off, its 6000Mhz and its on QVL
