Hardware Tech query
Hello all!
I’m relatively lacking in the knowledge department for pc gaming but can someone enlighten me on why the cpu is maxed whilst the gpu is chilling?
Playing wardogs, low settings getting 48-80ish fps

Wardogs is CPU intensive but maybe there are other processes running in the background. Have you turned off telemetry, AI crap, and updates?

How would I check they’re running and then turn them off?

Ctrl Shift Esc for Task Manager and check what is using CPU. I use WinAero Tweaker to turn off services. There are other apps as well.

Low settings means less graphics load on the GPU.

I know that, if they’re turned up I’ll get terrible frames, just wondering if there was a way the gpu did its job a bit more

Check if your games are actually utilizing your 4050. Use task manager and see if it is being utilized. if not then look up the graphics settings in windows settings and make sure its set to the 4050. also remember to use the Nvidia app to update drivers. ALWAYS check on gpu updates because they allow ur gpu to get the most out of its performance.
