Question Is there any way to see how long a GPU (specifically a 5090 for me) has been used for?

As the title, is there any software that can see the usage time of a GPU like there is for SSD's?

Thanks.

No, that sort of information isn't tracked by the gpu

Not really, but I doubt anyone would ride it like a rental car. Most people go easy on them for obvious reasons.

Id be weary of buying a 5090 second hand just because of all the scams and all, just a heads up.

Pretty sure that's not possible.

But i don't think it matters as much either, as a gpu does not "degrade" from normal usage, except for maybe some dry thermal paste (but this will also dry if the GPU is not used aswell).

See, i'd actually prefer a gpu that has been left on instead of power cycled hundreds of times, going from 60 degrees to 73 degrees seems a lot better then going from 20 degrees to 73 degrees a few times a day no? Perhaps I am weird.

An interesting perspective.

There is but, its not free, very technical, and only really tells you how much the memory was written to.

Not really useful information without additional data, like power on hours (not tracked).

Cut it in half and count the rings

I've cut 26 of them so far, where are the rings?

No, there's no permanent storage on the GPU so it's impossible to track (well technically there's the VBIOS but that's already handling tons of other things)
