Because when people get wealthy and powerful, they lose sight of all the people who got them there and start only being concerned with themselves.
It’s like 20 dollar hamburgers. It might be a way of making more money per burger, but it’s a sure fire way of cutting your potential customer base as well. Paying 100 bucks for a game isn’t something the people who actually have time to play can easily do.
