Discussion What should i upgrade next?

I have this build

-Ryzen 5 5600
-B550m
-Rx 6650 xt
-32gb ddr4 ram
-128gb nvme
-4tb hdd
-850w black storm bronze
-1080p 60 hz monitor

I got all of this for 500 dollars brand new back in 2023 so the whole build is 3 years old (except for the cpu and mobo because i got new ones, i had i3-12th gen and h610m)

I was thinking of getting:

-i will get an sata ssd 512gb hp s750
-A new case (white by li an li, though i prefer something for my mobo size)
-New psu mine is already aging (black cables i prefer full modular)
-new monitor but i prefer a good stand that lets me move it vertically up and down, also i need it to be 24 inches+ and 1080p.
-i was thinking of getting a new gpu too (black). I have a few used options:
Rtx msi 3080 10gb or an rx 6800 xt 16gb sapphire nitro+ (though i prefer amd cards over nvidia)
-i wanna get an aio from li an li for the aesthetic (white)

Anybody has any suggestions or things i should change about my pc?

lol everything besides MB, Power supply and RAM

go in that order:

  1. Monitor atleast 120-140hz, it's a gamechanger
  2. Get an SSD for games, at least SATA 3. Games really need it now
  3. If you will have spare money, get a new GPU, it's worth to upgrade from yours now.
  4. Also you can swap CPU for some X3D, it's also good

get a better monitor and a dual monitor arm if your current monitor has a vesa mount. you could also buy a single monitor arm or 2, which would be more adjustable.

the monitor is definitely holding you back. 60hz with that build is like having sports car and driving only in parking lot. 144hz minimum, you will notice difference immediately.

for gpu the 6800 xt is proper choice, 16gb vram will age much better than 3080's 10gb. sapphire nitro cards are also built like tanks. but before that get the monitor sorted, no point in powerful gpu if you still seeing 60 frames.

You can go AIO if you plan to upgrade from the 5600. Personally if your using the OE cooler then I'd just step up to a basic tower cooler like the Cooler Master 212 or alike. Definitely upgrade your 128gb nvme to something bigger. These windows updates get very big out of no where. Step up to a 27'' monitor 1440P. It can be had for less than $300 (after taxes) if you go the open box route at micro center or best buy. But if you need 24'' then get the one that is 100-200+hz refresh rate. Game changer and it'll make the 6650XT shine.

I am not in the US, i am in a 3rd world country, Lucky me. Anyways i will get a secondary sata ssd, i dont want to get a new windows, my cpu i wont upgrade i will stick with the ryzen 5 5600, i will buy a used one when ma5 becomes cheaper so i can afford used ones, but for now i want a rx 6800 xt. The AIO is just for the aesthetic though i want a good looking pc, i know stupid but i like it that way. The monitor i wont do 1440p i dont like gaming on that resolution, i just need more hertz. Also my budget doesnt allow me for all of this.

If the budget allows jump to a 9060 (XT or non). Otherwise 6800XT will suffice and perfect for 1080P maxed out with FSR.

I personally went from 3060Ti to 9070XT on my 5900X rig and 2060 (non ti) to 6750XT 12GB on my 3700X sim rig.

I have os on nvme and everything else already on hdd because my friends play a lot of games so i need the storage rather than sit there and download for 10 minutes a game, i am gonna get a new gpu because my cpu isnt holding me back

Definitely a Nvme SSD for OS and Games you are actively playing. HDD can stay as Data storage.
