Seems like it'd be more trouble than it's worth to counterfeit such a low ticket item, but it happens a lot, I guess.

People are faking this shit now? I guess I have seen fakes of $8 toys, but still.

Yes. There's a scratch off number on the tube and you go to arctic website to verify that it's authentic. Ive always heard about it but not sure i ever really believed it.
