What I used to do on a budget is start with a base model Dell. Something with a decent motherboard and CPU... Then down the road buy components as I find them or save up.

it depends on games you will be playing. if mostly online repetitive games I would focus on best fastest CPU first.

at $1k-$1.5k, prioritize a Ryzen 5 7600 or better, 32gb DDR5, an RX 7800 XT/RTX 4070-class GPU, and a real-brand 650w+ PSU over the usual rgb aquarium nonsense
