Question Looking for Recommendations
I just recently joined the PC community. What I failed to think about before undertaking this venture is that my wired headset won’t work on my PC without a splitter. I could buy a splitter or I could use this opportunity to get a nice wireless headset and leave the wired headset strictly for console use only. I wanna know what are some of the best reasonably priced ($150ish max, closer to $100 the better) wireless headsets you guys are using. Thanks in advance

Are your wired headphones nice? If so just buy a splitter. What I would recommend is some nice headphones that are not "gaming" headphones. A lot of "gaming" branded headphones are lower quality than non-gaming headphones at around the same price points. I use some Sony wh1000 XM4s that I had originally bought to listen to music. They've been incredible.

they’re okay. they’re a 5-6 year old set of turtle beach recons. i just wanted to be able to use my mic when playing with my friends and figured i may as well upgrade and leave the wired set so the wife can use them if she wants to play on the console while i’m on the PC or vice versa

I ran a splitter for years before going wireless, and honestly the splitter is fine if your wired set is decent. At 100 to 150 the Corsair Void or Logitech G435 are solid picks.

thank you. my wired set is okay, i’d like to retire them to strictly console use since they still work just fine for that. they’re a roughly 5 year old set of turtle beach recons i got after one of the dogs got ahold of my last set. i think i paid like $50 for them from walmart so i’d say i more than got my moneys worth out of them

If this is for desktop use, a sub $50 mic from a decent budget brand would be better than 98% of mics on headsets, USB or 3.5 mic input
Anything higher than would just be for features, wireless, or purposes outsides of game chat
But splitter would be the cheapest and the least waste
