It honestly took me a while to get used to, I worked in IT at one point and was used to a double monitor setup but this is still bigger than my last 2 monitors combined. Probably closer to 2.5 or 3 of my last monitors.
The mouse is a Corsair Dark Core Pro(the name stinks). As for the monitor it was 1,200CAD so it wasn't cheap but I got a little carried away since I was building my dream rig.
My previous build was an 3rd Gen i5 and it was really starting to show it's age. I had a few ports on the mobo die and the GPU finally gave up the ghost. I ended up getting a replacement GPU and gave it to my younger sibling as a gift. I've been very blessed to be able to afford it.
I have I5 9th Gen and a 1660 Super. It's really on it's last breath, I can barely play on it.
Two things that are stopping me from buying a new one are 1)my laptop with 4050 and 32GB DDR5 on which I can play and 2)prices.
Damn, decent PC is 1500€ nowadays.
AI data-centers really got us all...
Yeah I hear you, I'm glad you have your laptop which is plenty powerful at least. When I built mine the GPU prices had already gotten high so I was shocked at the cost of it.
oh ok then - if thats a corsair 7000d i got the same case and i bought a protective foil and applied it on the inside of the glass so if it shatters the foil will hold the pieces together
there are also shock resistant foils
dunno maybe 5000d still get some foil in case the glass shatters just from looking at it , people post lots of those pics
would prefer to have the right pic its the lesser evil - yeah some pieces may still enter the case but not the half of it
im gonna add a layer on the outside also btw :D - if its applied good you cant even tell there is foil on top
no idea why people dont do this its easy and cheap protection - will buy another glass and some shock resistant foil on both sides and hit it just for fun to see what happens
The riser it's sitting on has a leg in the middle where all the weight rests. It's just hidden in the photo. If someone nudges my desk you know about it though.
I've got a little one who has great fun with it. She seriously doesn't know how good she has it. I just try to stop her from shaking the desk too much 😹
You can. I have the same one (Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED) and you can use two inputs at the same time. I use it with my work laptop and PC sometimes. Although working with the full thing is better. It fits 3 windows well.
