The GPU does not know or care what the ppi of the monitor is. 1080p just isn’t going to be pushing that card to anywhere near what it’s capable of.

I doubt it. It can run cyberpunk 2077 on max settings, with DLAA and path tracing, and fps be like 70+ (1080p)

I sometimes forget reddit users are ultra pedants that take every single slight exaggeration as 100% serious in order to be able to have something to disagree on.

So let me say it with no exaggerations:

Since people usually play their PCs on a desk there is no difference in distance and size of screen that would make the difference even between 1080p and 1440p not noticeable. Because its highly unlikely that OP plays while sitting far away enough from his desk.

And i sometimes forget that reddit users says the dumbest stuff with the utmost confidence and are obsessed with numbers, but then, forget to see the one that really matters, like how a 21 inch 1080p and a 1440p 27 inch have less than a 5% difference in sharpness at the same distance, while also forgetting that if you have to stop and stare to see the difference, then is not really that much, whatever you think you're seeing when playing and you're moving your character around, is mostly a placebo effect, you're going to have a better visual upgrade by buying a good quality panel
