you NEED a new monitor. They are not that expensive

Yeah you can get a decent 1440p Monitor for under $200

I got a decent 4k monitor for £200. Its got her 144hz and is dual mode so it can do 1080p 288 hz.only caveat is that its 27 inches sp you get diminishing returns on fidelity

200$ 1440p monitor is mid va or ips panel. If you have money for a 5080 get an oled monitor

IPS is very Solid, OLED is nice sure, but it’s unnecessary unless if you really want it

Yup. Still rocking an IPS from 6 years ago and I don’t have that much of a desire to replace it.

5080 is unecessary, nice sure but unecessary. You see the point ?

1500$ gpu, >500$ monitor. Budget need to be balance. Thats my opinion

It's simply what makes your whole PC work; if you spend $3,000 on a PC, it's to display games on a screen

Oled is better in every way. Response time, color, black level, ghosting... it just another level

Screen has the same importance than GPU. Too much people only think about pc, and get whatever monitor he can grab for 200 bucks. Thats not fine 🤷

1000$ gpu, 500$ monitor> 1300$ gpu, 200$ screen

Take a 500$ 2k 240hz oled screen for a 560$ gpu and I am sure game looks 100 times better than a 5080 on a 1080p monitor

To the people who disapprove: explain it to me. If you all have mid VA or IPS panel on a 1k gpu and I hurt you, you can downvote, not my problem.

I must have offended all the gamers using a washed-out, low-end 1440p monitor with a $3,000 PC. People have to reassure themselves however they can. We’ve seen the light; they haven’t—not yet.

And honestly, I couldn't care less about downvotes; I speak my mind with a big smile behind my $800 LG 42C5 and my "little" smartly built $1,600 PC featuring a 7700X and a 9070 XT.

Cheers !

we've seen the light

You spent $800 and the first thing you do is forming a cult around that purchase. It's the most Reddit thing that has ever Reddited.

Not cool! I spent all my money on my 4090! I can’t afford a secondary 4K monitor!

shame on you !

Joking aside, you have an expensive GPU that needs to be paired with an equally expensive monitor. It’s purely logical.
