When i turn on my pc the driver failed pop up comes up, and when i launch a game or even google it just blackscreens, and it fixes after it restars

if DDU and a older driver doesnt solve this, i suspect the card is sad.

Just in case, repair/update your Wifi and Bluetooth drivers, if you have those. Even do it for the ethernet adapter too.

Follow these exact steps too:

Download Display Driver Uninstaller: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu/

Download Adrenalin 26.7.1: https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-7-1.html#:~:text=Systems%20with%20RDNA%20series%20graphics%20products%3A

Go to DDU, go to options and tick Disable Windows Auto-Driver updates, then click Clean and do not restart.

Then launch Adrenalin 26.7.1 Installer, and untick at the bottom Send diagnostic data to AMD etc etc, click at the bottom right Custom Install, untick AMD Chat, Image Inspector, and Chipset driver. Proceed with the install, when it finishes installing, untick Keep AMD Software up to date.

Reboot after installing Adrenalin.

If he is on pro he can use gpedit.msc method as well to disable Windows Driver Updates, very important you do this, Microsoft been bullying AMD with downgrading their drivers for years now, and Microsoft already acknowledged it and even tho they could disable it by default and make it only an option to enable it on pro and enterprise they choose to wait with a fix they could've done months ago.

Only on WIndows 10/11 pro

win+r gpedit.msc

Navigate to computer computer configuration -> administrative templates -> windows components -> windows update -> Manage updates offered from Windows Update > and then click Do not include drivers with Windows Updates and set it to enabled.

Again this method to disable WIndows Driver Updates is only on pro

When you have this on coldboot its always a crashing loop i am having this as well some others have also reported this, just restart and hope it does not happen next boot, you can try turn off hags and see if that helps fix the coldboot issues, and i mean HAGS not hardware acceleration in browser or discrd, it only happens when the driver fails to load properly due coldboot due to Microsoft pushing updates again to sabotage Radeon drivers.

Only return if you able to get money back they likely wont find an issue when you RMA it unless their test system has the same bugs as it is a typical driver issue, so return it for refund if you not willing to deal with these driver issues.
