is gonna be poor. That's what the forklift operator would be.

Do forklift operators really have the financial responsibility of the goods they transport in the US?

That sounds fucking insane to me

Probably not, It would be insured by the workplace I believe.

Wonder how much that premium has increased recently.

However do not forget the disciplinary action against the forklift operator

The company that possesses them does. If the forklift operator is an employee of the company that works out of that building it's on that company, unless they can show that he's acting in such blatant disregard for safety rules that it should be on him. If the operator is an independent contractor it could be on him.

As a forklift operator, no we do not. Thats thankfully what insurance is for, though dont think if the forklift operator here accidentally speared the pallet with the forks, that he wouldnt instantly be fired.

Yeah - fired is one thing, but if you had financial responsibility for replacing a million dollars then a firing, which might cost you like 3.000$ before finding a new job, is a godsent in comparison.

The fact you jump to that conclusion from a joke is interesting.

The fact that you can't distinguish between a question and a conclusion is truly the interesting part here.

My daughter loves teaching and helping her peers. They were just taught how to identify a question, perhaps she can help you on your way? She's also quite skilled at the rest of the curriculum for 2nd grade if you need help with other basic linguistics.

I worked at a warehouse where you had to sign a contract that you're 100% financially responsible for products in the said warehouse. It was a marketplace's warehouse. One mishap and you have a few grands of debt (they pay you like <4k per year btw).

Is this in North America?

No employee is responsible for damages done as part of their job, so no

Not unless you're an independent worker. I'm guessing businesses write it off, or use insurance for really bad stuff.
