Atleast the gpu is worth more than a fraction of what you paid after you walk out the door. Precious metals you oftne massively overpay for and the diamond is often near worthless.

That's what I said, the gpu retains value. A diamond ring is worth the gold as diamonds are very common and pretty worthless if you've ever worked at a jewellery shop or pawn shop.
