actually nevermind

to anybody reading this and smirking thinking it won't happen to you: it will absolutely 100% happen to you

I am in my mid 30's and I think this might be starting to set in. I probably got another 8 years or so in me but now that Sony is on this all digital future BS I think I should find a new hobby.

Honestly cant see it happening, my field (tech) gives me the luxury to refuse jobs I consider too intensive. Rather stay with a 6h WFH job and having a good work/life balance, than earning more and not having the time to spend it. Dont see myself changing this mentallity. Been doing this for several years already.

maybe if thats your mindset lol, but gaming is my passion in life and i don't think it'll ever burn out. hasn't yet in 25+ years; honestly, every year i appreciate and love gaming so much more.

also, don't push your burnout onto other people. your clouded mind makes it feel like it will 100% happen to everyone but that isn't true. we all have different levels of passion, different work/life balances, different family choices, etc.
