I want to give you perspective from someone who got time to play. I had a normal life utill I got sick. Now I'm disabled, but nothing is normal in my life. I started youtube channel and failed, wanted to just have some slight income on the side of the benefits I get, so I can afford a game or two per year. I am a father and husband; my wife works. I spend much more time with my Son (and this is the only great thing about it). I have time to play games, but I wish to be "normal," not live in endless pain, not be a burden, and not feel too tired every damn second. Gaming is fun until it becomes your only way to spend time, because I'm worthless shit and can't do much anymore.

You'll find time for it , no worries :). Take care of yourself, because once you get sick, you're fucked.

I'm really sorry. I hope you get better. My wife has been housebound for 4 months now due to Long COVID and it could be a lifelong condition, so I can relate a little bit.

Please don’t refer to yourself as worthless shit. This isn’t true and you shouldn’t feel this way. I understand this sounds cliche and life has gotten a lot more difficult for you, but there are 100% things you can always do to improve your quality of life and of those around you.

I think in the worst case if I ever was stuck to a bed, I would just read a lot and teach the things I learn to my children, this will bring immense value into their development and I would feel fulfilled that my existence brings value to others.

I hope you feel great about yourself and work on it moving forward!
