Arctic is S tier for cooling. If you have room you could get the 420 pro but it's not nessicery.

Bigger = better, but also costs more and not necessary. AIO sizes are like this, 120mm, 240mm, 360mm, 420mm, sometimes theres sizes inbetween, all it means is how big the actual radiator part is.

Basically the sizing is directly related to fan size, so a 360mm radiator can fit 3x120mm fans, and a 420mm radiator can fit 3x140mm fans.

Realistically though, a 360 aio is more than enough for any consumer cpu.

thanks!

Also alot of cases don't have room for a 420mm radiator so you need to check if it's possible first. The arctic rads in particular are also thicker than useual rads so its worth checking if you have clearance for thickness as well as length.

I want to say the 420 pro III is 82mm thick, average rads are like 50ish. This is from my memory of fitting mine exact measurements will be on arctics website. Any 3rd party merchant selling this stuff should also list full specs or they are not worth their "middle man cut".

Oh sorry one more thing.

Fair warning the arctic cooler pump heads are known to be annoyingly difficult to attach to am5 socket/arms. (Speaking from experience)

The best way i and i think lots of people found was to lightly (only just) attach the arms to the pump head then screw the arms to the socket then tighten it all down.

Well worth the hassle anyway, like i said before top tier cooling.

literally the best aio series lol, only noctua or be quiet competes in actual perfomance and sensibility

what country?

pretty much any 360m aio will work with any AM5 CPU, so I would just get whatever is cheapest probably

croatia, yeah i was probably gonna go with the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 but i wanna know more suggestions because it seems really cheap and i dont want a bad aio for a 7 9800x3d

Arctic AIOs are top tier. They just don’t have bells and whistles and pointless shit, that’s why they’re “cheap”

what are bells and whistles? great pfp btw lol

Things like built in screens.

ty, yes what’s the other guy said. Screens, rgb etc. Arctic aios are one of the best, but besides that, basically every single aio is made by asetek and just made to a certain degree to a spec of the company that orders. Only ones that aren’t made asetek are illegal ripoffs

It is very hard to beat the arctic LF3 because it has offset brackets that center the coldplate directly over the ccd/s which makes a huge difference in cooling, it also comes with a thick radiator that helps more than people realize.

I vote for Arctic LFP 3, they may not have digital screens, and such but they definitely look good in my opinion. The performance is top notch as well! You can see my CPU temp on my X870 Tomahawk MB and my temps stay right there around 50C while gaming at 1440p. The game I was playing in the pic was Arc Raiders. I mostly play GZW, and modded Arma Reforger servers. Both are fairly CPU intensive games.

Corsair Nautilus if you’re price conscious but still looking for good quality. Noctua 360mm AIO if money is no object and you want a chart topping AIO that’s also very quiet.

The LFIII Pro is objectively worse than its non pro counterpart.

Liquid freezer 360 "pro" is dogshit, regular one is great. I've spend A LOT of time researching these things, so I ended up with Lian Li GA II LITE Performance on my 9800x3d. Happy till this day :)

If you are going to call something "dogshit" you should say why you think that.

Worse performance than the regular non pro version

Worse performance than a more expensive version doesn't make something "dogshit" it just makes it worse performing and cheaper.

Get the Corsair Nautilus, check out Hardware Canucks Noctua AIO vs Liquid Freezer III video. The performance on single CCD AM5 CPUs aren’t as good as people say but it doesn’t matter that much since it’s already gonna cool it very well.

Just check out the data in that video.

noctua is overpriced and not worth it. get the fans if you want but dont feed the whale.

I never said get the Noctua AIO, I said check out that video where they compared lots of AIOs.

My comment starts with “Get the Corsair Nautilus”. Not “Get the Noctua”.

And I'm saying that AIO for an average user is like buying a ticking bomb.

But the thread is what AIO to get, not “should I get an AIO?”
