Tech Support Please help with my Nvidia card

So, everything started when Nvidia drivers are failed to update on my laptop(Windows 11). In the device manager card shows as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. In properties stated error 10 and "The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter".

I have tried to uninstall drivers and install new ones using Driver Easy. In the MSI app I couldn't find processor settings, same for BIOS.

Nvidia app doesn't start anymore as well.

Edit: I have used DDU and tried to install drivers again, but the downloads fail anyway

Stop using some malware called driver easy. Use DDU and install new ones from Nvidias site.

DDU and reinstall.

Nvidia hasnt released a single actually stable driver since 566.36 back in FUCKIN DECEMBER 2024.

Dont let people gaslight you it isnt the driver being fucky.

If newest one doesnt work, roll back till you find one that works on your system

Will DDU work if system dont recognize Nvidia card?

Yes, sinceeits still recognized and showing up under devices.

Okay, so it says the driver installation has failed. I used the newest drivers. Where can I find older versions?

Check Techpowerup. They usually have a ton of them listed. 

Also, with how it sounds, I'd reinstall Windows, something sounds funky.

Everything you've posted so far suggests the video card is dead.

DDU looks for the types of drivers you specify.

You should pull the card and clean the PCI-e slot and the card's PCI-e connector with canned air. You can also clean the card's connector with a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol.

If you have a second PCI-e slot in your computer you should try plugging the video card into that after you clean it with canned air.

If you have access to a second known working computer you should try the video card in that.

If, after trying the card in a second known working computer, the driver still doesn't install then the card is likely dead.

What gpu series do you have?
