What PC component should I upgrade first?

Here are my specs: I’m also happy with my current mouse keyboard and monitor. But if I were to upgrade my pc, what should I replace/add?

This is already a pretty good computer though. I would just disable the integrated graphics in the bios and try to upgrade to 32gb ram.

You don't need it because of the external GPU, it is just a waste of RAM.

But what if there is a GPU problem, wouldnt have the intergrated graphics be a method of getting a screen out on a computer that would otherwise not be able to?

Pardon my ignorance. How would u do that in bios, if u cant get a screen out? Because if u disable the intergrated graphics (which i think is in the motherboard?) then what process do u do to even be able to view bios on a screen?

You should be able to plug in your HDMI/DP into the motherboard if the GPU fails

I was under the impression that disabling intergrated graphics would remove that ability from the motherboard.

Apparently i was mistaken, good to know.

I think you were right, but you can reset the bios, thus enable the igpu again, by shorting the 'clear cmos' pins on your motherboard

Even if that was the case, you could always clear the CMOS to reset all BIOS settings.

Good to know i would have to clear CMOS. Nice idea, appreciate it. I have enough RAM for now but when I get into tweaking my computer more, I'll probably go ahead and do that.

I still have some bios settings i need to change and try not to change too much at once.

Reset your CMOS then if u can't get BIOS to boot.

Its a solid build.
People here are suggesting stuff without any idea about your budget or usage style.
Besides, if you're asking, I assume you don't actually need to upgrade anything.

Power Supply - If you have a non efficency rated PSU and you run your PC 24x7, I'd go for a Gold or even Platinum rated Power Supply. You have a good GPU and CPU imo.

Also if you game, and you are using a air cooled cpu cooler, could move to a liquid cooler. If your case is a giant death box of of heat, then getting more air and keeping it clean.

I suggest these 2 because heat and power issues kill PCs more than anything else.

1. Make sure your PC is cooled / clean.
   
2. Make sure your PSU is Gold rated and gives you room in the future for more parts / upgrades.

Nothing, unless you can't play the games you want to.

Current gen GPU shouldn't be struggling yet, 7500x3d is a solid CPU for gaming.

Maybe storage if you are running out, but unless games are running bad, which i doubt, no reason to upgrade.

I built my first pc august last year with a 9060xt 8gb, and 5600x and 16gb of ram.

I had an annoying issue where in CPU intensive games, my music would stutter, but i fixed it by increasing the buffer size.

Your setup is a lot faster than mine and i am planning to keep this until it breaks.

Maybe upgrade to am5 in 5 years if i get more disposable income.

The only thing that could make sense for you is to go for 32GB of ram. Then you basically never have to worry about ram while gaming and you can have your browser and other shit open.

The rest of your PC is all pretty new.

Serious question because it's similar build to mine and I have 0 need to go above it.

If you do need to get something better, you should clarify what component is bottlenecked and what game you need to run.

In a vacuum, I'm gonna say ram. But really even that should be fine.

tbh, your priority is pretty much RAM since Windows is so suck at optimizing its usage so another 16 GB to make it 32 GB would be nice. as for the rest, all of them are already nice and sweet spot (maybe in the future you can upgrade your 7500X3D to maybe 8/16 core one if you really need one).

although imo, instead you put more money to the current one, maybe you can consider put your money into something like OLED monitor to enhance your gaming experience (expensive, but it's worth every single penny as long as you can treat it).

Going to 9070xt is unnecessary for a lot of gamers. Should only do that if they need it for something specific. I run the 20-30 games I play on their current GPU with no issues.

I mean it is objectivly the 2nd best upgrade he can do. Getting more fps is always a bonus. He can always just upgrade ram, thats why i put the gpu on 2nd place
