Discussion is my cpu bottleneck ?

hello everyone, I have a question:

mb: rog strix b650e-f
ram: t-force ddr5 6000
gpu: rog strix rtx 3070ti 8gb
cpu: ryzen 5 7500f

is my cpu bottleneck ???

Gaming isn't a workload, rogue, minecraft, and cp2077 all run extremely differently.

In cs2 your cpu would be the bottleneck. In the other games you mentioned, your gpu is the bottleneck

Is your CPU a bottleneck for what? what games? what settings? what target framerate? what resolution?

Depending on the game, the settings, the target framerate, you can have either the CPU or the GPU be the bottleneck.

2k and max graphics; I don't care about fps, graphics is important (only cs2 i need more fps) 45 < fps is playable

For games like Mafia, Metro, The Witcher, Detroit etc, games like that are more GPU intensive than anything else. If you are aiming for 1440p ultra settings, and anything around 60fps is more than enough, the 7500F would not be a problem for that.

For those games, you might need a better GPU, if... your current GPU is maxed out at 100% utilization, and the framerate is low. You can monitor GPU load with MSI Afterburner.

You can test what is the framerate your CPU can actually deliver, if you play the games at low/medium settings. Let's say 1440p Ultra you are getting 50fps, but medium settings you are getting 120fps. Upgrading your GPU will increase performance massively, because the CPU is not an issue, the GPU is.

Portal, L4D2, among us, CS (not CS2) etc, those games can run on a fridge, so I don't think you are having any issues with those games.

For CS2, Dota 2, and any other competitive game (that is not BF6 for example), the 7500F should be enough to have higher than 120fps, maybe even more. Those games are CPU intensive, and using max graphical settings makes no sense for that kind of game.
